Tara practises in the area of financial lines insurance both as coverage and monitoring counsel and as defence counsel.
Overview
Tara advises local and international insurers on policy coverage in relation to directors and officers, professional indemnity and management liability policies, and acts for insureds as defence counsel.
Tara advises insurers on complex coverage disputes including shareholder and consumer class actions. She has also advised insurers on large remediations, regulatory investigations by ASIC and AFCA and claims brought against financial institutions and advisors.
Tara has handled claims involving a broad range of insureds including accountants, solicitors, directors and other professionals. She also has experience defending claims in the casualty space.
Tara holds a Bachelor of Media (Communications & Journalism) from UNSW and a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney. She was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2020 and is also admitted in the High Court of Australia.
