Scott has over 20 years of experience in commercial litigation, with his practice focused on representing lawyers in defending professional negligence claims.
Overview
Having practised at the Victorian Bar prior to joining Colin Biggers & Paisley, Scott has developed a wide perspective of the litigation process and gained extensive experience in both insurance and commercial litigation.
Scott's experience extends to managing claims involving a range of professionals, such as auditors and accountants, financial advisors and construction professionals. He has conducted litigation in the Supreme Court and Federal Court, appeals to the Court of Appeal and High Court of Australia, as well as international arbitrations. Scott has provided coverage advice to leading Australian and global insurers, underwriters and underwriting agencies.
Admitted to practise in Victoria on 1 February 1995, Scott is also admitted to practise in South Australia and the High Court of Australia. Alongside a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), Scott holds a Bachelor of Science, majoring in computer science.
