Simone has expertise in corporate M&A transactions and advisory work, with a focus on transport & logistics, manufacturing, medical, technology, aged care and education.
Overview
Simone regularly advises on share and business sales and acquisitions in several key industry sectors leading a team to draft and negotiate the relevant deal. She is experienced in drafting and negotiating corporate and contractual documentation including supply, distribution, manufacturing, services and consulting agreements. Simone also advises on joint ventures, shareholders agreements, tenders and procurement processes.
In addition to these areas, Simone advises on directors' duties, governance frameworks, constitutions, compliance, data and privacy issues. She provides trusted advisory and governance advice to boards, C-suite and executive management on all of these matters. As a Chair, Deputy Chair and Board member of several not for profit organisations, Simone also has first-hand experience in all areas of board governance.
Simone regularly advises on the set up of operations for foreign companies looking to do business in Australia and assists foreign companies navigate the Australian corporate landscape. She advises on all required constituent documentation for such incorporations.
Simone speaks German fluently and acts for many German, European and US companies operating in Australia. She is a member of the Australian German Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Simone holds a Bachelor of Economics and Laws (Hons) from the University of Sydney, is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and a Member of the AICD.
