National legal practice Colin Biggers & Paisley appoints Deputy Managing Partner

Colin Biggers & Paisley is pleased to announce Construction & Engineering Partner Andrew Murray has been voted as its Deputy Managing Partner, effective 7 August 2024


In an exciting succession milestone for its practice, Colin Biggers & Paisley is pleased to announce Construction & Engineering Partner Andrew Murray has been voted as its Deputy Managing Partner, effective 7 August 2024.

Admitted to practice law in 2000, Andrew joined the practice in 2010 and has been a partner in the Construction & Engineering Group since 2016.

Andrew is recognised as a leading construction and engineering lawyer and has built a reputation amongst his clients and colleagues for providing responsive, excellent commercial advice and client focused service.

Over his career at the practice, Andrew has co-chaired the Pride@CBP group, been a longstanding member of the Inclusion & Diversity Leadership Team, chaired the partner promotion interview panel, led graduate interview panels and has been a much admired contributor to learning and development programs.

In 2018 Andrew received a doctorate from the University of Sydney for his thesis on reforming the law relating to legal professional privilege in the context of expert evidence.

Andrew also has a particular interest in the use of technology to facilitate and improve law firm operations, the delivery of legal services and client experience.  

In his role as Deputy Managing Partner, Andrew will work alongside current Managing Partner Nick Crennan over the next 12 months in the leadership of the practice, supporting its continued growth trajectory, and to deliver outcome focused legal solutions to its clients. 

Commenting on his appointment, Andrew Murray stated:
