Leanne Dearlove

Leanne has over ten years' experience in employment law and industrial relations, providing advice and conducting litigation in relation to all facets of the employment lifecycle.
Overview
Leanne's expertise includes advising employers on employee misconduct and performance concerns, assisting employers to manage ill and injured workers, discrimination and general protections matters, contract drafting and advising on potential underpayments.
Leanne represents employers and insurers in litigation in the Fair Work Commission relating to unfair dismissals, general protections, stop bullying applications and assists clients with safety and child protection issues. She works with insurers and their insureds to resolve or defend claims arising under employment practices liability (EPL) policies.
Over time, she has developed a strong client base and experience across the education, aged and in-home care, faith-based and not for profit sectors. She also works with a portfolio of Queensland local government clients.
In addition to her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Queensland, Leanne also holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law. Leanne was admitted to practice on 6 December 2013 and is also admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia. She is a member of the Queensland Law Society and sits on the Management Committee of the Industrial Relations Society of Queensland.
