Ashleigh's practice focuses on workplace relations and employment and safety. She represents clients across various industries, including property, aged care, financial services, education and manufacturing, both instructed under employment practices liability policies and directly.
Overview
Ashleigh defends employers in general protections and unfair dismissal claims, discrimination and sexual harassment, underpayments and Fair Work Ombudsman underpayment prosecutions. She provides a wide range of strategic advice and protects clients' interests in all applicable Courts and Tribunals. Ashleigh regularly advises on performance processes and workplace investigations, and prepares employment agreements and workplace policies.
Ashleigh holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts (Political Science and International Relations) from Victoria University of Wellington. She was admitted as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of Victoria on 1 April 2019 and as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand on 22 September 2014.
Ashleigh's secondments at an ASX-listed aged care group, and a Federal Government department have provided her with invaluable in-house experience to better service her clients.
