Joydeep Kaur

Overview

Joydeep commenced practice as an employment lawyer in New Zealand, therefore, has extensive experience in employment law in both Australia and New Zealand.

She has broad experience in litigation. She manages complex matters for clients across the Federal Court of Australia, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, Fair Work Commission and various state based tribunals and Magistrate Courts.

Joydeep also has experience in award and enterprise agreement interpretation, disciplinary, performance management, and restructure processes, and the management of discrimination, bullying, harassment, and victimisation complaints in the workplace. She focuses on achieving pragmatic solutions to problems arising in the workplace. Her strengths include her ability to provide strategic legal advice in a manner that is able to be easily understood and her ability to focus on commercial solutions for her clients.

Joydeep holds a Bachelor of Laws from Victoria University of Wellington and Master of Laws from the University of Auckland. She also holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Hons) and Diploma of Graduates (Law) from the University of Otago. 

Outside of work, Joydeep enjoys finding new books to read, watching cricket, rewatching Harry Potter and exploring new restaurants.
