About the role:
We are seeking a solicitor or senior associate to join our leading Brisbane Insurance team, working with Patrick Cavanagh, Partner.
The successful candidate will undertake a variety of work, including:
- Providing advice on indemnity with respect to claims on professional indemnity policies of insurance in relation to personal injuries
- Providing advice on indemnity with respect to occupational regulation matters and investigations (including Coronial inquests and investigations) of professional (including allied health professionals).
- Acting as defence counsel in relation to personal injury claims, occupational regulation and investigations for professionals (including allied health professionals).
The role will suit a solicitor or senior associate looking to take the next step in their career by further developing their skills and experience and to make their mark on the insurance industry by joining like-minded practitioners to develop their own brand in the industry and a team around them.
The successful candidate:
- 4+ years' PQE with experience in professional indemnity matters
- A desire to be an integral member of a strong and cohesive team who work together
- Strong attention to detail
- Practical and client focused problem solving and research skills
- Ability to manage client expectations and run matters autonomously
- Interested in establishing a long-term successful career with Colin Biggers & Paisley
- Commercial acumen
