A senior associate in the Construction & Engineering team since 2024, Jon's practice focuses on court proceedings in the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal as well as adjudication and Tribunal proceedings.
Overview
Jon brings extensive experience in managing security of payment claims within construction disputes and prosecuting and defending complex court proceedings. He is skilled in providing commercial and practical solutions tailored to the needs of his developer and contractor clients.
Jon has recently acted on a number of large scale and complex disputes and litigation, including adjudications and disputes arising from Moorebank Interstate Intermodal Terminal and Rail Access Project, Ferny Grove Central Project, Akin Residence Project, Logan Hospital Expansion Project, and Wilkie Creek Rail Infrastructure Project.
Jon holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). Jon was admitted as a lawyer in 2018 and is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Queensland, the Federal Court, and the High Court of Australia.
In addition to his qualifications, Jon is fluent in Korean and he is a member of the Korean Australian Lawyers Association, the Overseas Korean Traders Association, and the Society of Construction Law Australia.
