Overview

Dust diseases have been with us for decades, from asbestos to coal dust injury, while the popularity of engineered stone countertops has caused a massive increase in workers contracting silica related illnesses.   

In a world first Australia banned the use, supply and manufacture of engineered stone, with the ban commencing on 1 July 2024.
