With over 20 years litigation experience, Tim leads Colin Biggers & Paisley's national Disputes & Investigations team and advises clients on significant commercial disputes.
Overview
Tim has extensive experience in representing clients in court proceedings and arbitration, as well as the early resolution of matters.
He has worked on various commercial litigation cases for a diverse range of clients, including international corporations, insurers, construction and engineering companies, small businesses, associations, and individuals.
Tim has successfully dealt with large and complex cases involving contract disputes, negligence cases, shareholder claims and trust disputes.
Tim's experience extends to intellectual property, and he has acted on a range of copyright, trade mark and patent disputes and related issues in the Federal Court and Supreme Court. He is a founding contributor to Colin Biggers & Paisley's monthly 'IP & Tech Bytes' publication, which canvasses interesting disputes and updates relating to IP & tech disputes.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws, and was admitted as a solicitor in NSW on 11 July 2003. He is also admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, Federal Court and High Court of Australia.
He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science and is a member of the NSW Society for Computers & the Law, which gives him a unique understanding of the issues that can arise in technology-related disputes.
