In the past 12 months alone, Katherine and her team have acted as breach coach for over 130 cyber incidents. Katherine helps clients respond to suspected and actual unauthorised data access and other cyber security events. Clients appreciate Katherine's ability to provide clear direction and calm, outcome focused advice when faced with complex and challenging threats to their operations.
Katherine's digital governance and cyber experience extends to providing coverage advice to Australian and London insurers under cyber policies and providing proactive risk management advice to a wide range of clients to ensure their policies and processes are strong enough to mitigate cyber security risk.
Katherine's experience is rooted in strong commercial litigation expertise gained both in Australia, and in the Hong Kong financial market. Katherine acts on large and complex litigation, including class actions, Australian consumer law disputes, employment litigation, fraud / white collar crime and other commercial and insurance disputes.
Katherine has a Master of Law and Legal Practice and a Bachelor of Arts Communication. On 15 February 2008 she was admitted to practice in the NSW Supreme Court, the Federal Courts and High Court of Australia. In 2016 she was admitted to the Hong Kong High Court.
She is a member of Australian Women in Security Network and the Law Society of New South Wales. .
