Ana Kolovos

Overview

Ana has extensive experience in public liability and product liability claims, property damage (including Water Act claims) and work health and safety litigation. Ana runs a large and successful practice and team. The calibre of Ana's clients reflects her technical ability and her ability to understand their business and respond to their specific needs, tailoring strategic claims outcomes.

Ana has managed large liability claims portfolios for domestic and global insurers, claims management organisations, hoteliers, shopping centre owners, exhibition centres, supermarket chains, building companies, universities and other self-insured corporations.

Ana has also acted on both sides of the WorkCover scheme acting on behalf of WorkCover insurers and self-insured entities including defending statutory indemnity claims brought by the Victorian WorkCover Authority under the Accident Compensation Act 1985 (Vic) and the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation & Compensation Act 2013 (Vic) including in judicial reviews.

Ana has been recognised in Doyle's Guide as a leading Public & Product Liability Lawyer in Victoria since 2021.

Ana is an Ambassador for the Women's Pro Bono Organisation and is a regular contributor to the Colin Biggers & Paisley Pro Bono program.

Ana was admitted to practice in Victoria in 1994. She has a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts with a major in Modern Greek from the University of Melbourne. Ana also speaks Greek fluently.
