2023 graduates exceed fundraising goal for Indigenous Literacy Foundation
By Tamara Sims
The Colin Biggers & Paisley graduate teams from each office were set a challenge to raise funds for major charity partner Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) through a series of events including trivia nights, cocktail parties, online auctions and raffles. The competitive spirit and teamwork demonstrated by our graduates throughout the challenge were truly commendable.
With a fundraising goal of $6,200, our graduates set out with determination and passion to support ILF's mission of promoting literacy and education in remote Communities across Australia. Through their efforts and commitment to the cause, they exceeded this target, raising an impressive total of $19,454.
While the result was a collective success, the Brisbane team were the winners of the 2023 Graduate Fundraising Challenge, raising the most money per person by office.
The success of the Grad Challenge is a testament to the power of teamwork and collaboration. Across our Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne offices, our graduates came together to organise a series of events, auctions, and fundraising initiatives. Their collective efforts rallied support from colleagues, clients, and the wider community, demonstrating the impact that can be achieved when we work together.
The funds raised will support ILF's mission to ensure that culturally relevant books and learning resources are accessible to all, promoting literacy and education in the Communities they work.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the Grad Challenge, contributing time, donation and prizes.
