Make a difference

Our culture

We are a unique legal practice that believes in what we do. This extends to the impactful solutions we deliver for our clients, our contribution to our communities and the meaningful careers we build for our people.

Opportunity

We provide our people with opportunities for career progression and personal growth. Many of our partners and managers began here as junior lawyers. We offer everyone the opportunities and support needed to grow and build successful careers with us.

Structure

We see our mid-size legal practice as a key advantage. Our structure enables us to deliver holistic services to clients and a better place to work for our people. Our size keeps us personable and closely connected with both our colleagues and clients. It is rewarding to see our clients ongoing success and the benefits they gain from working with us.

Leaders

Our ambition to be leaders in all we do drives us to continually improve our successful legal practice. This ambition led us to create an online property contract exchange platform, revolutionising the way real estate is bought and sold throughout Australia and the rest of the world. This drive has fuelled our ongoing growth, doubling partner and employee numbers - and we're still expanding.

Inclusion and diversity

Our goal is to create a company as diverse as the world around us, with a focus on equality and meaningful career opportunities for all employees. For us, diversity includes gender, age, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and ability. Inclusion means everyone feeling valued, respected and supported. We are committed to being a leader in inclusion and diversity within the legal profession and giving our people the opportunity to build and advance their careers in a way that is meaningful for them.

Our people

There is no unhealthy "hero culture" at Colin Biggers & Paisley because we put people first. After all, it is our people who have made our business into the success it is today. We do this by investing in our people's careers and supporting their career progression. We give them autonomy and responsibility, providing support when needed and being flexible about when and where our people work.

Work smart play hard

Many businesses say that work/life balance is important, but for us it's a priority. We work hard for our clients. We also make sure our people have everything they need to relax, recharge and have fun. We put people first. We invest in workspaces that inspire our people. Our offices in Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney encourage creativity, collaboration and productivity. We value building relationships with our colleagues, and we like to have fun doing so. Whether it’s over a drink on a Friday night, enjoying a complimentary shoulder massage, participating in our sporting activities or joining our book club, we offer a range of unique benefits for all our employees.
