Susannah has over 22 years’ experience as a financial services, insurance and dispute resolution lawyer in Australia and the UK.
Overview
Susannah has significant expertise in financial services regulation and remediation. She has advised financial service providers across a broad range of issues, including dispute resolution, risk and compliance. She has also represented a wide number of professional advisors including auditors, accountants, stockbrokers, financial planners and mortgage brokers.
Susannah is also experienced in complex litigation, including class actions as well as regulatory investigations. Susannah has also represented domestic and foreign insurers in relation to coverage disputes and has acted on behalf of corporations and directors.
Susannah gained significant experience when working as a senior legal counsel at a large Australian bank. As team lead for the Wealth Disputes team, Susannah advised on matters arising in the wealth business involving dispute resolution, remediation and financial services regulation.
Susannah holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney, a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning. Susannah was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 17 December 1999 and admitted to the Federal Court and High Court of Australia in 2004.
