Overview
Rebecca is known by her peers and appreciated by her clients as a specialist leasing lawyer. She manages large property portfolios for some of Australia's largest property developers, ASX listed companies, landlords, tenants, private investors, property fund managers, building and shopping centre owners. She also acts for educational organisations, churches and charities.
Rebecca guides her clients through the acquisition and sale of commercial, industrial, retail and residential property providing them with strategic advice through the entire process from due diligence to disposal or leasing the asset. She has worked on some of the largest shopping centre transactions in Queensland.
She provides critical advice on commercial and retail greenfield developments and refurbishments, strata titling and flat land subdivisions, as well as body corporate matters, including general advice, management rights and disputes.
Rebecca is a committee member for the Property Council of Australia, Queensland (Residential), and was appointed to PEXA's inaugural Member Advisory Council in 2021. She regularly presents at professional development seminars.
In the 2017 to 2025 editions of The Best Lawyers in Australia, Rebecca was recognised for her expertise in Real Property Law, in the 2020 to 2025 editions she was recognised for her expertise in Leasing Law. She was a recommended Property and Real Estate Lawyer in the 2020 and 2022 editions of Doyle's Guide, and as a Leading Leasing Lawyer in 2022 and 2023.
Rebecca holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Honours). She was admitted as a solicitor on 16 March 1998 and is admitted to practice in Queensland, England and Wales.
