Isabella is a Special Counsel in our Disputes & Investigations team with broad-ranging expertise in dispute resolution, including mediation, arbitration, and litigation.
Overview
In particular, Isabella specialises in engineering and major projects. Isabella acts for principals and contractors on complex engineering issues. These issues include design and construction deficiencies, variation and delay claims, latent conditions, and the associated cost implications.
Isabella's previous project and infrastructure experience extends to disputes and advice work on motorways, tunnels, port infrastructure, hospitals, pipelines (gas and water), high-rise residential buildings, civil works (including retaining walls), and pavement disputes.
Isabella was listed as a rising star for Construction and Infrastructure Law in the 2020 edition of Doyle's Guide.
As a commercial litigator, Isabella has acted in proceedings before tribunals, local courts, District Courts and Supreme Courts across multiple jurisdictions, and in the Federal Court.
Isabella was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales 2016 and is also admitted in the High Court of Australia. She is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales.
